Based on availability,last-minute bookings can be accommodated up to one week prior to departure.
What kind of trip information does Tour de China provide?
When a trip is booked,a guest confirmation letter is immediately sent out. Approximately six weeks prior to departure you will receive an exclusive Tour de China Guest Packet. This Guest Packet includes destination and trip-specific information, local and regional history, training tips,as well as suggestions for packing and general trip preparation. The Guest Packet also includes complimentary Tour de China merchandise. One week prior to your trip start you will receive an email containing the contact information of your guides,a trip start meeting location reminder and any last minute information that the guides feel is pertinent. Once you arrive at your destination your Guides will brief you on the day’s upcoming activities and present a special package containing daily route guides and a detailed map allowing you to ride with complete confidence (and independence if you choose) as you explore your new surroundings.
The average group size on a Tour de China trip is 4 to 6. Enrollment is capped at 8 guests per trip;this ensures each guest receives sufficient individual support, dedicated attention, and personal company from their world-class guides.
You are more than welcome to bring your own bike, but please keep in mind Tour de China can not assume responsibility for the safety of or damage to your bike that may exceed what and how we maintain the safety and well-being of our own fleet of bikes. How much cycling/bike riding do I have to do on a Tour de China Trip?
Flexibility is our middle name, and since this is your vacation, you are free to ride 1 or 100 kilo meters on any day of your Tour de China trip. Some destinations are especially well suited to lesser amounts of daily riding, offering plentiful activities to fill your day and immerse you in the local culture.

Our guides are the best in the business. We handle your luggage transfers. We’ll set up and fit the bicycles,we’ll even replenish your empty water bottles and offer you an energy bar as our support vehicle sweeps the course, rescuing you from that torrid climb or taking your jacket as you’re getting warmed up.
