Huff takes sprint in Xinglong
Brad Huff (Jelly Belly) won the bunch sprint at the end of stage three of the Tour of Hainan. The American beat Sergey Kudentsov (Polygon Sweet Nice) into second place,while stage 1 winner Yuri Metluschenko (Ukraine) finished third.
The stage was animated by a long,lone break from Iran’s Ghader Mizbani,and he led over the day’s two climbs before the sprinters’ teams brought things back together in the finale.
Valentin Iglinskiy (Astana) maintains his overall lead after finishing in the peloton. The Kazakh continues to lead Taji Nishitani (Asian Racing Team) and Johnnie Walker (Footon-Servetto) by 4 and 6 seconds respectively. Iglinskiy also leads the points classification,while Arkaitz Duran (Footon-Servetto) holds the king of the mountains jersey.

Oct 12 2010,Stage 2:Iglinsky takes stage and lead in Hainan,Kazakh beats Nishitani and Walker in the sprint.
Valentin Iglinski (Astana) struck a double blow on day two of the Tour of Hainan as he sprinted to both stage victory and the overall lead. The Kazakh beat Taiji Nishitani (Asian Racing Team) and Johnnie Walker (Footon-Servetto) in a tight finish in Wuzhishan.
The decisive moment of the stage came on the final climb when a split occurred in the peloton and overnight race leader Yuri Metlushenko (Ukraine) was caught behind. 40 riders made the selection and they would put over two minutes into the rest of bunch before the finish. Valentin Iglinski’s team leader Alexandre Vinokourov was also caught wrong-footed as the gaps opened and he rolled in 2:30 down on the stage.
With both Metluschenko and Kenny Van Hummel (Skil-Shimano) absent from the front group in the finale,the sprint was an open one and it was Valentin Iglinsk who emerged victorious,edging out Nishitani and Walker.
Overall,the Kazakh leads the same duo by 4 and 6 seconds respectively,thanks to the time bonuses accrued at the finish. Former race leader Metlushenko falls to 36th overall.

Oct 11 2010,Stage 1:Metlushenko sprints to victory in Sanya
Yuri Metlushenko (Amore &Vita-Conad) won stage 1 of the Tour of Hainan and took possession of the race leader’s yellow jersey. The Ukrainian beat Kenny Van Hummel (Skil-Shimano) and Michele Merlo (Footon-Servetto) in the sprint at the end of an 85km-long circuit race around Sanya. Tuesday’s second stage sees the peloton cover 167.5km on the road to Wuzhishan.

BEIJING –Record rainfall in China’s island province of Hainan has left two people missing and forced the evacuation of about 137,000 people from flooded homes.

Level tournament for Asia,“top”,to be invited from 18 to 20 including the intercontinental professional teams,continental teams,national teams,including teams of about 140 athletes participate in the competition. Prize money in the last 250 thousand U.S. dollars based on U.S. dollars to 280 thousand. It is reported that,as an international tourist island of Hainan,the first year of the first bicycle race around the island,this event will travel into the more cultural elements to race around the island as an international tourist island of Hainan to play a greater role in building.

Authorized by the International Cycling Union（UCI）,hosted by the People’s Government of Hainan Province,General Administration of Sport of China and the CCTV of the State Administration of Radio Film and Television,co-hosted by the Chinese Cycling Association,the Department of Culture Radio Television Publication and Sports of Hainan Province and the People’s Government of Sanya,the International Road Bicycle Tour of Hainan（Hereinafter referred to as the “Tour of Hainan”）had been successfully held for three sessions in Hainan Province,from 2006 to November of 2008.
With the goal of “To be the Asia’s top,a world-class,annually held race”,with the aim that “Reshaping the Awareness of Special Administrative Region,and Revitalizing the Spirit of the Special Administrative Region”in order to accelerate the economic and social development of Hainan Province,especially the sports,tourism and other related industries’ fast and fine development,on the basis of constantly summarized successful experience of cycling race from abroad and Qinghai Province,the Tour of Hainan has become a national sports event of high-quality and organizing level. There are lots of highlights in the Tour of Hainan,concerning its organizing level,scale and influence. The Tour of Hainan has been upgraded from Continental 2.2,2.1 to 2.HC,since registered by the International Cycling Union（UCI） from 2006 to 2009. The award money has been raised from 100.000,150.000,200.000 USD to 250.000 USD,which attracts athletes from different countries and pro-continental teams to participate in this tour event. The mileage has extended from 900 kms’clockwise race to 1100,1300kms’counterclockwise race,and the course cover all the cities and counties of Hainan Province.
The entry scales of participating team has expanded from 16 to 20 at home and abroad,which could be devided to four sessions:UCI professional team,UCI pro-continental team,UCI continental team and national team. The third Tour of Hainan had attracted 20 national teams and pro-continental teams,they are Switzerland,Poland,Germany,Russia,Denmark,Austria,Kazakhstan,Ukraine,Greece from Europe;China,Japan,Iran,Malaysia,Taiwan,Indonesia from Asia;the United States from America;and Austrilia from Austrilia,in which the China Marco Polo and Giant Asia are the inter-continental teams.
With the increasing number of the media and the enhance of propaganda,the Tour of Hainan has gained a very good reputation,and recognized althrough China and Asia,furthermore,the Tour of Hainan has gotten a gradual impact of the globe.
